First nad foremost, black hair doesn't contain the oil that white hair does. DO NOT SHAMPOO YOUR HAIR EVERYDAY. It will dry the hair, make it brittle and it will break. The best option for growing your hair depends on the chemicals you use...If you are regularly relaxing your hair, make sure a conditioner is applied right after the relaxer(before the neutralizing shampoo). Shampoo your hair weekly, and make sure you condition like every other shampoo. Oil your scalp to maintain the moisture in the scalp and hair shaft. Get your hair trimmed regularly, and limit the use of products that contain alcohol. There is nothing wrong with sleeping with your hair in a wrap-it breathes all day long. Sleep in a silk hair wrap or cap to avoid breakage, or use a silk pillowcase. Above all of what I just suggested, GOING NATURAL is the easiest way beccause chemicals are what damage our hair the most. Please contact me if you have any other questions.

how to make ur hair grow faster

first of all u should know that there is internal and external part.

internal part :ur hair to grow ,to be soft and smooth need essential vitamines like iron,calcium,b5,so u should take care of ur food and preserve a good diet and submit ur body with all the essential vitamines and minerals,u can not have a good hair and skin if u r starving ur self.

second:external care:u should follow the basic routine(massage ur scalp, use a good shampoo and conditioner, intensive mask every week etc)

3rd:if u have a tight budget u can use natural product(which i recommand cuz mask etc have chemicals which in the long run not good for ur hair).

4th:u should follow the basic hair care(email me if u do not know it)

First things first if you are an African American Woman you should never wash your hair every day; it will only dry it out even more.

I would recommend Carols Daughter - carolsdaughter.com you will find that all of their hair products are wonderful, and you can customize the line depending on your hair care needs

also, try sleeping on a satin pillow case - it will prevent breakage and dryness.

Good Luck

You are not alone!lol

As black people we are not naturally gifted with hair.so some of us less fortunate go though some struggles to even hold a bun.

I have been platting my hair for the past four months and not straitening it in between changing stiles and also give it a week to rest. That method seems to be working for me.

Just because of my hair situation,i used to wish i was white.

but now I'm enjoy being the "Black African afro girl."

There so many different answers to this question, it's impossible to do a one-size fits all answer. For myself, I wash and deep condition my hair once a week. I personally use Nexxus products, especially Humectress Conditioner, but there are many different good products. The best site I've found is www.longhaircareforum.com. The ladies there are really knowledgeable and helpful. You can find information there about coming up with your own regimen, and about transitioning from relaxed to natural. This is the Transitioners Support Thread and the Natural Support Thread:
