Frosting or highlighting. what do you think?

i am 55yr old. i just cut my hair in an ear length bob. i want to do something different. i had blonde hair a few yrs ago but did not like the texture of it. no matter how much conditioner i used it still felt like straw. i would like to frost it but i heard that was old fashioned. heaven forbid i walk out in public and people start pointing and laughing. i have seen highlighting before and i can barely see a difference in what that person looked like before. what do you think

Frosting or highlighting. what do you think?

i suggest you highlight your hair and not frost. highlights brighten your face, makes you look more alive in the face. oppose to frost. not only is it old school but makes you look older. but be careful! only highlight your hair if your hair is brown. that's just my suggestion. i have been highlighting my hair for yrs. if you do end up highlighting your hair make sure the stylist knows you want thick streaks! and not too close to each other so that way u can see them. good luck! :)

Frosting or highlighting. what do you think?

highlighting. its not out of style.

Frosting or highlighting. what do you think?

High Lights but not your entire head, ask your stylist to do your high lights with foils, it gives it a more strandy look and doesn't make your whole head blond

Frosting or highlighting. what do you think?

hilights will be nice

Frosting or highlighting. what do you think?

frosting and highlighting ...

they both will do completely different things depending on your natural color, cut, texture.

Most "better" salons will do a consultation.. AND LET ME TELL YA they are fun fun fun.

you may spend a couple bucks on them... sometimes it will be discounted off a purchase type of thing.. sometimes they are free.. etc.. (also if there is a beauty school close by don't be scared because the teacher's are talented enough with the creativity of the student .. sometimes a great combo)

But you'll get a better answer.. not only will they tell you what they can do ... they can actually do it. SO my answer is don't ask us at yahoo.. go get a professional opinion.. Free sometimes doesn't pay.. especially when you want to look good
