Haircut coming up!!!!!!!?

im going to get my haircut in a few weeks time and im not sure how to do it because my mom doesnt want me to get my hair cut so im going to need to hide it from her.

i dont want any layers because my hair are too thin and its going to look too obvious

i cant have a fringe because im trying to hide it!!

i have long dark brown hair

i have a BIG forehead and olive coloured skin.

please help and give some ideas- no abuse to my mother please!!- she just thinks that im going to get a tiny bob done and wants me to have long hair.

i am going to get them feathered- but how long short should the feathers be??

a bob cut is actually really short..

like this:

depends really.. you could get your hair cut just past your shoulders/ just above your shoulders..

that way it's not OVER dramatic for your poor mother!

my mom won't let my little sister cut her hair any shorter than it is.. it's like down her back..

so be grateful you get at least some taken off! Lol.

good luck, and have fun getting your new do hun.

there has to be a reason she dont want you to cut it, maybe you had it short as a bay and it didnt look right .long bangs or sideswept bangs that hit just at the corner of the eye hide a big forehead, and you dont have to layer it all just trim and layer around your face, a different layer at say above eyes end of nose jaw line can draw attention to your features without being layered all over

well the best way is to convence her?

sooner or later she is going to notice.

so just tell her that you are going to get your hair cut.

try not to cut it too short. ( something between what you want and what she wants as well) some layers would look perfect based on ur description....

There are computer programs out there where you can take your photo and try various hair do's - give that a whirl if you can. Perhaps get ahold of one of those programs (I think one is a cosmopolitan program - makeover and you can check it out through your public library) and use this a communication tool with your mom in order to gain her approval for your venture. You really should not base your haircut on trying to make it something that won't be obvious to your mom, you will wind up with a bad do. You should show her that you are mature in your approach to this, that you are doing a fair amount of investigating prior to settling on a style and that her opinion is important to you. Good luck - the communication strategies that you employ with your mom now will create an environment for a stronger relationship in the future when issues are much more intense.
