I am moving to nigeria.I am a 14yr old indian girl.should i get a haircut??

My father works in nigeria. My mom and I are going to join him this week and settle there. My father has got me a admission in some govt school.(he can't afford private schools).He says that I should cut my hair very short cos the schools there ask the girls ask girls to buzz their hair(shave most likely my father hinted it to my mom).I have beautiful shoulder black hair. To convince me he tells me its too hot there to have long hair. My mom who also to convince me got a 1/4inch buzz cut(she had a bob) saying it was trendy and comfortable for the heat. It doesn't look good from what i have seen. I do have a fair complexion. Do u think they will let me off cos of this(:- that is thinking I am a non-black??? What should I do?? I want to finish m education but I don't want to shave my head.

I would think looking nice for your dad would make his day,

whether or not you get your hair cut that is up to you.

However, a trimming would not hurt, do you need one.

hair grows out fast, no you don't have to shave your shave your head. If you can tie hair back that would be wonderful

If you want to you should. Try going to the first few days of school and see what other people think and if anyother people have long hair. Just do what you want. Don't let anyone pressure you into doing something you don't want to do.
